It sometimes happen that you forget the screen lock that you have put on your Qmobile NOIR and after numerous tries even, you cannot figure it out. After you try wrong screen unlock pattern 10 times (you can change the number of allowed attempts from Settings), the built in feature of Android will ask you of you Gmail username and password. Logging in through Gmail will resolve the issue and you will be able to use the mobile again.
However there can arise some situation where you are unable to log in to your Gmail account as well. Some of the situations are as under:
- There is no Wi-Fi available at your location
- You had previously turned the Wi-Fi off on your mobile
- You have forgotten your Gmail password (even if you reset your Gmail password from any other device, you won’t be able to log in through your Qmobile NOIR as it remembers your last password only)
Considering all of the above facts, there remains no other option, but to factory reset your Qmobile in order to wipe off any security settings. This is a last resort and is preferred by most to be avoided because once you factory reset the mobile, all the settings on your mobile will be lost.
Procedure
Step One
Do not panic!
Turn Off you mobile phone.
Step Two
Keep pressing both the volume keys on the left and while doing so, press the power button. This will start the mobile in Factory/Recovery Mode
Step Three
Select Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up key
Step Four
Using the Volume Down key, come on the fifth (5th) option from the top which says “wipe data/factory reset”
Step Five
Select the option by pressing the Option Touch Button on the bottom left corner of your Qmobile NOIR
Step Six
The mobile will inform that this step would erase all the user data and that it cannot be undone.
Again, do not panic. You don’t have any other option left.
Using the Volume Down Key, select the eighth (8th) option which says “Yes – delete all user data”
Step Seven
Select the option by pressing the Option Touch Button on the bottom left corner of your Qmobile NOIR
Step Eight
The mobile will show on the screen
“Wiping data…
Formatting /data…
Formatting /cache…”
Step Nine
Just sit back and relax while your Qmobile NOIR is being factory reset and rebooted.
After reboot, the mobile will start as if you just unpacked it and are using it for the first time.
