HTC being one of the major players in the smartphone industry has its physical presence in Pakistan as well with Brightex providing warranty of its mobile handsets in the country. On their Facebook page, HTC Pakistan mentioned the decrease in prices of HTC mobiles in the country and that they would be providing the original warranty of HTC mobiles in Pakistan. The Facebook post also gave link of a BlogSpot website by the name of htcpricespk.blogspot.com which is a little queer for a company of such magnitude. Since it was posted officially by HTC Pakistan on their page, we assume that it is indeed the official statement of the company.||
BlogSpot being a free service allowing bloggers and amateurs to make and maintain a free blog style website. We thought maybe the domain name they are using “htcpricespk” was not available so they reverted to such tactics but we found out that both the domain names of htcpricespk.com and htcprices.pk were available which leaves them with no excuse as to why did they resort to such tactics. Furthermore, the official site of HTC www.htc.com does not have a regional site for Pakistan as you can see at http://www.htc.com/www/regions/ as well as the picture attached.||
It seems a like possibility that the company is making its website for Pakistan, but even as a temporary measure such a step should not have been taken and they should not have used a BlogSpot website for hosting their information
