The ban on Mobile Number Portability (MNP) has been lifted by the Pakistan telecommunication regulatory authority (PTA) and the telecom operators are conveying the information to the public that they can now convert their mobile numbers on to the operator of their choice. Zong has also mentioned on its website about the resumption of MNP services so that customers from other operators can come and join the Zong network.
In order to convert your existing mobile number to Zong, you need to send an SMS “MNP” to 667 with charges of Rs. 1.5+tax/SMS. You will get a message from 667 which will give you information about your current connection and SIM. The information will consist of your MSISDN number, the Name and CNIC number against which the SIM is registered along with the activation date and the type of connection (postpaid or prepaid) that you are using.
Write the information down and call on 0314- 3334455 and follow the instructions, also giving them the information when required. The approximate time of delivery of your new Zong is up to 4 working days as promised by the company.
Or you can also visit the nearest customer care center or franchise to get your number converted.
